Motorola Xoom’s advantage is that it has HDMI out and micro USB ports. It also has a 5MP rear camera compared iPad’s lousy 0.7MP.

BlackBerry PlayBook is the only tablet with 1080p video camera (front and back, even).

The ASUS Eee Transformer (TF101) is extremely feature rich for under $400: Android 3.1, 10.1 inch 1280×800 IPS (like iPad, but bigger and higher resolution) display, up to 9 hours of battery life (16 hours if optional dock added), optional ability to dock with keyboard, 1 GHz Tegra 250 ARM CPU with 1 GB RAM, good array of ports (mini HDMI, SD, micro SD), preloaded Polaris Office 3.0 for editing documents (.doc), spreadsheets (.xls) and presentation (.ppt) files. Note, though, no 3G (however people report success in tethering it to smart phones).

      iPad 2 Advantages:

IPads have a higher degree of fit-and-finish than the competition. Like iPhones vs other smart phones, iPods vs other MP3 players, or Macs vs PC’s, iPads are widely regarded as being more refined and polished than the competition.

      iPad 2 Disadvantages:

      1. No Flash.
      2. No SD expansion; no HDMI port; no USB port.
      3. ASUS Eee Transformer has a better display (10.1 inch, 1280×800, IPS vs 9.7 inch, 1024×768, IPS) for less money.
      4. PlayBook and G-Slate have better rear camera video recording (1080p vs 720p).
      5. PlayBook has much better front camera video recording (1080p vs VGA).
      6. Almost all tablets have better camera resolution than iPad’s lousy 0.7 MP.

    ipad 2 or macboook air?
i have been wanting a macbook air for a while now, but when the ipad 2 came out i don’t really know which is better. cuz they are kind of similar, their weight(they are both easy to carry around, usually i like to bring mine to other places, and be able to use it in the plane and stuff.) and etc. i watched alot of comparison videos but it doesn’t really help much, basically, i need the computer for working and playing. and many videos on youtube or comparisons on google always say, ‘if you want it for using the web or play games/apps then get the ipad but if you need it for work then get the macbook air’, but that’s the thing i need it for both. and people say that the ipad screen keyboard is hard for typing but i can just get the keyboard dock thingy or the wireless keyboard, and for the macbook air people say that it deosnt have a cd slot, but i can just get the super drive thingy, anywayz, i need you help, cuz i dont want to buy one of it and regret it. also for the apps thing, i have an ipod touch so the apps will be kinda similar, i think….anywayz,JUST HELP PLZ!
please add the reason why you chose that computer.

I would Prefers to go with ipad 2

The second generation iPad 2 will have 3G network support along with Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. Apple has shelled out a new HDMI cable connector that promises 1080p HD video output when connected to the proprietary 30-pin dock connector port on the iPad 2.

      Apple iPad 2 Features

Apple iPad 2 boasts of being faster, lighter and thinner than the original iPad. It is armed with two cameras – one at front and the other one at rear. The presence of a front camera does hint at video calling facility which is yet another reason why you need to look forward to buy this device. The new iPad sports a LED-backlit glossy widescreen Multi-Touch display with IPS technology and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating like the one used in iPhone 4. Even though there were some rumors about Apple iPad 2 screen being cut down to 7 inches, the company seems to have preferred to stick to 9.7 inch screen.

Other than the internal components, even the external components have been subjected to revamp. Apple A4 chip has been replaced by the all new Apple A5 – which makes the iPad 2 CPU twice as powerful as the ones in its predecessor. At the same time, the GPU that this device sports is believed to be 9 times faster than the one is original iPad. When it comes down to the Apple iPad 2 memory, one hopes that this device will have better or a higher memory module compared to the older iPad. However, no specifications have been provided with regards to the internal RAM, but like its predecessor, it comes in all the 3 storage options, maxing out at the familiar 64GB.

Apple seems to have taken a serious note of Android 3.0 Honeycomb release – at least the inclusion of iOS 4.3 hints at this very fact. Simiarly, the inclusion of three-axis gyro, accelerometer and ambient light sensor are all set to add to your iPad experience. iPad 2 also boasts of 10-hour battery life, thanks to the new built-in 25-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. Of the amazing accessories, the Smart Cover for iPad 2 is one to look out for. The magnetic cover doesn’t just protect the iPad but also doubles up as a keyboard stand. Interestingly, you don’t need to sleep or wake up your iPad now as the Smart Cover which attaches itself to the iPad does that for you.

How to deal with this kind of mother?
How do I begin to explain Tess Coleman?

When I was young, she was the type of mother to help me and my brother Harry with our homework. She was also the type of mother who would bake pastries on occasion and let her kids lick the chocolate fudge off of the spoon.

Unfortunately, all that changed as I grew older. You may ask, “How?” Well, let me evaluate:

    - She always promised me and Harry that we’d migrate either to London, England or San Francisco, CA USA. Years later, we’re STILL stuck in our homeland.

    - All my life I’ve been mistaken for her (“Oh Anna, I thought you were Tess!”) or compared to her (“You love to read and write, just like your mother.”) and frankly, it’s getting old. Is it too much to ask, for once, just to be acknowledged/praised as my own self with no need for comparison to others?!

    - She always talked trash about my father behind his back and yet when he got cancer last year, she was all, “You’re crying over a boy yet you can’t even bother to cry for your father?!”

    - When I didn’t tell her about me dating a guy, she got mad. When I was finally open to her about my relationships, she still got mad. -_-“

    - When I cry over a boy, instead of sympathy, she gives me lectures like “He’s JUST a boy! It’s not the end of the world.” And yet when her last boyfriend left her for someone else, she woke me and Harry up bawling over the phone while talking to her boyfriend’s mom.

    - She’s been dating Ryan for 3 years now, who’s old enough to be my grandfather. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining as he treats her like a queen anyway. It’s Ryan I feel sorry for, though. 99% of the time, Tess is financially dependent on Ryan. (He paid for the hip surgery I underwent 2 years ago. If it weren’t for him, we’d be homeless considering he bought us the house we’re currently residing in. Also, he bought her an iPad!)

    - She keeps breathing down my neck regarding my weight to the point that I’d rather eat alone in my room than with her at the dining table to avoid her lectures about eating less or exercising more. (What the hell does she want me to do, starve myself to death or wait until I faint, maybe even get stomach ulcer?!)

    - She’s commented on how I’m starting to limp again since I don’t walk around much. (Well, who was the one that stopped my physical therapy treatments anyway, huh? That’s right—her! Of course, I didn’t want that but what can I do? I’m just a sixteen year old teenager.)

    - She’s 39 now but she acts as if she were 18…especially when it comes to PDA with Ryan.

    - My maternal grandparents—her parents—don’t know that she’s currently dating Ryan, someone old enough to be my grandfather, and also her former boss. (He’s the CEO of a company that she used to work for until she resigned due to “catty officemates”, but I’ve been with her to work before and her officemates are nowhere near catty. My guess is that her officemates probably suspect she’s flirting with the CEO, which leads to her getting fired.)

    - Also, I feel sorry for Ryan because he’s told her, “Are you ashamed of dating me?” when she couldn’t even tell her parents—my grandparents—that she’s dating him. (Whatever happened to “who I date is none of their business”?)

    - If I’m being honest with myself, my mother has been THE number one bully in my life. ALWAYS making me feel bad with negative feedback. (Yet when she asks if she’s fat and I tell her honestly yet kindly that her arms are a little flabby, she freaks out like it’s the end of the world! Hey, she wanted an honest opinion, okay?)

    - Whenever I ask for the maid’s assistance with something, she ALWAYS butts in asking about it. Whatever happened to “mind your own business”? Or perhaps, “privacy”?

    - She ALWAYS tells me I need to learn to be more independent yet when I order something for myself, she always tells me order the smaller portion. How can I make my own decisions when she’s controlling everything?!

    - In the past few months, two of my cell phones were stolen due to my carelessness and I’ve dealt with the consequences with no complaints. And yet she wants to talk my father out of getting me a new one for Christmas. (He asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year and I said a cell phone, since I’ll need it for communicating with friends and family members.)

As you can see, she’s a hypocrite among other things. I know she’s not perfect and neither am I, but why does she expect so much from me?! It’s suffocating. Honestly, I don’t know how much more I can take before I completely lose my sanity and need an admission to a mental institution.

I think the best way is to either talk with her boyfriend or ask for an other adult’s assistance. Seriously, to me, your mom is kind of keeping you in an invisible box. Basically, she is a bit over-protective around you. But i guess you would considered moms like these. See if you do “some” of what she wants and tell her your way. If she still says u gotta do this and that, then don’t pursue the topic any farther. Try your best to be calm in any of these situations and tell her what you think and that you respect her saying.

      Good luck!;]
