is their an app like this or if not they must make one!!! ur ipod acts like a weight scale, so you can place things on ur ipod and it tells you the weight being put on it. like if you put a feather it will say like 2 grams or something, i would love that!! do they have?
I don’t think an app like that could be created because you would need some sort of pressure detection on the ipod, and I don’t think it’s built like that. Plus placing objects on your ipod touch would be pretty dangerous especially someone tried to weight themselves on it.

Did Apple lie? 2nd Gen iPod Touch not thinner?
Ok, I was answering another question since there’s been quite a few “What’s the difference between the 1st and 2nd gen iPod Touch”, so being the cocky bastard I am I was about to say in comparison “And thinner, but come on we’re talking the new 8mm versus…”
I paused… and went to do some research cuz my 1st gen iPod Touch is 8mm thick from front to back (yea I got a pair of calipers, who woulda thunk).
So off to my beloved google search engine I looked up the Apple specifications on apple’s own site, since they keep a detailed record of all their product specifications (handy to find out what the difference between an early 2007 macbook and a early 2008 macbook and so forth).

Anywho this is what Steve Jobs said during the Apple Keynote presentation in september.
“… And so this is the new iPod Touch, It’s got the same georgeous 3 and a half inch display. But, it’s even thinner, it is this beautiful contoured stainless steel design. And if you didn’t think the last one could get thinner you gota get your hands on one of these. They’re just fantastic. …”
So error in marketing? error in specification? Plain false advertizing or a half-truth? (ie: feels thinner cuz of it’s contour even though its a mere half a milimeter thicker or an argument such as that)
Just kinda curious what people think about this kind of nit picking, in my opinion it’s one less actual “new” feature on top of the old ipod touch. But least you don’t have to pay 10$ on top of the price to get the 2.0 firmware :D (now if they can just figure out how to jailbreak the new ones…)

From what Im think, is that the second generation iPod Touch is indeed skinny but in the center is the highest point of the back. Like the back of the second generation is curbed. So possibly they are saying that it is more thinner by how more curvier it is then just how the way your talking about.
